Ken was a founding member of PMI Michiana and served on the Executive Board in many positions, including Chapter President.  His passion for sound project management practices was palpable.  This was only trumped by his passion for Leadership.  Ken was a champion of our chapter's mentor program and advocate to new leaders in the profession. 

I first met Ken at a random PMI Michiana event back in 2021.  I was a new PMP and had just started to dip my toes into the PMI waters.  My extroverted personality led me to be vocal during meetings and ask questions related to leadership, culture, and engagement.  Ken gravitated to this and quickly pulled me aside for multiple 1 on 1 sessions to share his wealth of knowledge over a couple of good beers.  It was Ken's personality, passion, commitment to excellence, and wisdom that convinced me to join the chapter volunteers group for communications and publicity.  This ultimately led me to many great opportunities to connect with new people, grow my skillset with web based platforms, and challenged me to improve our chapter communications. 

Leadership is where Ken's heart was truly fulfilled.  After completing his PMI Executive Board duties, he continued to work on finding others that had the same passion and commitment for leadership and excellence.  Even with Ken having so much going on, he would always message me from time to time to go grab a beer and catch up.  We had just recently met in October to catch up and discussed my recent job change and industry shift.  Without fail, Ken had all types of insight and comments that allowed me to step back and recognize the growth I had made.  He always found a way to shine a light in the dark, no matter how challenging his own life had become.  I will always remember, and appreciate, Ken for all his support over the last 3 years.  He was an integral part of my professional growth and an amazing mentor.  This is only a raincheck till our next session.  God bless and rest in peace Ken.
