Virtual Event - Navigating Change: Overcoming Resistance with the ADKAR Method
The Universe is change. Our life is what our thoughts make it -- Marcus Aurelius
Change is always with us, and yet taking change in stride is no mean feat. Change means altered processes, deliverables, and attitudes. It means a call to act differently when many of us believe we're on the right path without any change. In this change-driven presentation, PMI Eric Jenett award-winner Carl Pritchard takes us through Prosci's ADKAR change management method, focusing on how early attention to detail can smooth the way for productive change with a little less pain. He walks through simple, practical steps we can take to implement ADKAR (Awareness, Desire, Knowledge, Ability and Reinforcement) in a practical, day-to-day approach. From the prework to make ADKAR work to the post-change environment, Carl takes you through the mechanics of getting others on board with change (with a smile on their faces)!
Upon completion of this presentation, participants will be able to:
* Clarify their roles in reinforcing each of the five ADKAR steps
* Apply at least three ways to get team members to apply (and sometimes, even embrace) change
