Topic: Executive Strategies and Process Improvement
Speakers:
Sean Cale - Executive Lead for Lean Manufacturing at Lippert
M. Susan Franger - VP Population Health and Business Development at Goshen Health
A native of Elkhart County, Susan began her career in the pharmaceutical industry. Her work as a scientist required tight adherence to the scientific method while simultaneously producting mountains of documentation. It was a natural transition to shift her focus to the complexities of health care systems and strategy.
Susan completed her administrative residency at Memorial Hospotal of South Bend. Upon graduation, she accepted a postiion at Goshen Health working directly for the Chief Executive Officer. Her skill set related to data management, along with her background in cell biology, enabled her to advance efforts related to business development, venture capital, and cancer program operations. During her time at Goshen, Susan oversaw the Goshen Center for Cancer Care more than 12 years, has led strategic planning for more than 10 years, and currently oversees the Heart and Vascular program, population health, and managed care contracting for the Indiana Lakes Managed Care / Accountable Care Organization.

Mark Burkey is the Vice President of IT/IS Operations at Tire Rack, where he leads technology strategy and operational excellence across the organization. With a strong focus on leadership and efficiency, he is dedicated to building high performing teams and driving innovative solutions that support the company's growth. Mark is passionate about creating a culture of collaboration and continuous improvement. Outside of work, he enjoys spending time with his wife and four children, playing basketball, and tending to his family's orchard.
